Our low-odor construction is formulated to meet VDA 270 ≤ 3.0 odor grade, well within typical OEM cabin air-quality limits. We can supply test data and certified low-VOC adhesive options for stricter programs such as Asian OEM or EV interior specifications.
QWill the low-odor tape yellow or outgas over time?
No. The eco-friendly acrylic system is designed to minimise plasticiser migration and secondary outgassing during the vehicle service life. Long-term aging tests under 80°C / 95% RH confirm stable bond and minimal cabin odor shift after 1000 hours.
QWhat substrates can low-odor tape bond to?
Leather, fabric, foam, ABS and other interior plastics, plus painted or coated metal. For low-surface-energy substrates such as PP or TPO we offer a corona / primer-treated construction to maintain bond strength without compromising the low-odor claim.
QIs the low-odor tape suitable for high-temperature automotive interiors?
Standard grade is rated to 100°C continuous. For dashboard or sunlit cabin zones we recommend our high-temperature low-odor grade tested to 120°C, paired with a release liner suitable for automated die-cut application.
QCan the low-odor tape be supplied as die-cut pieces?
Yes — kiss-cut pieces, individual gaskets and converted rolls, all using the same eco-friendly adhesive system. Common applications include A-pillar trims, headliner attachments, door panel fixings and EV battery interior NVH pads.
QDoes the low-odor tape meet OEM specifications for cabin air quality?
Yes. We supply test reports aligned with VDA 270, VDA 278 and GB/T 27630 cabin air standards. For program-specific approval, share the OEM spec and we will match an existing certified grade or run a project qualification with you.
