QIs flame-retardant tape UL94 V-0 certified?
Yes — our standard flame-retardant construction meets UL94 V-0 at typical 0.1-0.3 mm thicknesses. Test certificates and lot-traceable documentation are available per shipment, and we can support project-specific fire ratings including FMVSS 302 and GB 8410.
QWhat is the temperature range of flame-retardant tape?
Standard grade: -20°C to 120°C continuous, with short-term peaks up to 150°C during battery pack assembly or paint bake. For higher service temperatures we offer a high-temperature flame-retardant grade rated to 150°C continuous.
QWill flame-retardant tape drip when exposed to flame?
No. The construction is formulated to be self-extinguishing and non-dripping — once the flame source is removed the tape stops burning within seconds and does not release flaming drips that could spread fire to adjacent materials.
QCan flame-retardant tape be used in battery packs?
Yes — this is one of its main applications. The tape is used for cell-to-cell bonding, module-to-pack fixing, and busbar insulation in EV battery packs. We supply low-impedance / dielectric versions on request for electrical isolation layers.
QHow does flame-retardant tape differ from regular PET tape?
Standard PET tape has limited flame performance. Our flame-retardant grade uses a flame-retardant carrier and a flame-retardant adhesive system so the entire construction — not just one layer — passes UL94 V-0 and self-extinguishes cleanly.
QIs flame-retardant tape available in custom thicknesses and widths?
Yes — 0.05-0.30 mm thickness and slit widths from 5 mm to 1040 mm. Custom die-cut shapes for battery pack assembly, PCB masking and electrical insulation are supplied to drawing with lot-traceable documentation.
